Jazz Meets Mozart
Uniting Jazz and
the music of Mozart, this project aims to assimilate the core
values of these wildly divergent genres into an exciting feast
for the ears and eyes.
The journey to this challenging creative destination was
originally led by drummer, composer and arranger Michael
Pignéguy, followed by fellow West Australian arrangers Mike
Nelson and Grant Windsor.

Michael Pignéguy
Sextet (MPS)
The Michael
Pignéguy Sextet was formed in the mid 90’s in part as a vehicle
for Michael’s own compositions. It has performed around
Australia and also in New Orleans, Los Angeles and Auckland. The
group has released two albums ‘Live’ and ‘Pure’ with the second
featuring renowned Australian saxophonist Dale Barlow.

The Art of Now
Rooted in the sounds of jazz, The Art of Now Ensemble fuses the
style and sophistication of a traditional Jazz quartet with the
rhythms of modern life.
Comprising of members from Canada, Australia, and USA, these
four experienced and accomplished musicians have performed
internationally in clubs, concerts halls, festivals and private
functions.
